Many salespeople today work for International companies whose home office is based abroad. Many times I have coached international companies to focus on the products hey sell and not their nationality. One European company told me they wanted to hold a contest where the winner won a trip to their country. I advised against it telling them to focus on their products, not where they come from. But some countries have a positive appeal to Americans, and mentioning it could be a boost. To see it this is worth doing check this list of countries that Americans feel most favorable toward. If you are selling a product from Canada...you might mention it.

Great advice. Early in my speaking career, I included several stories that were about the US. The audience hated them. When I changed the locations to any other country, they worked.

Thanks... I once did a promotion in the US for folks to win a trip downunder. Worked really well...
I think you have to tailormake your stories to the market...
