Whether you agree or not with the premise of this timeline, the very fact that someone has assembled one should give all in the print media world alarm. The charts creators do not seem like bomb throwing heretics. They calmly explain,
"This schedule for newspaper extinction shows best estimates given current trends. The timeline is intended to highlight the diversity of global media markets and stimulate useful strategic conversations.
Newspapers in their current form becoming insignificant is not the same as the death of news-on-paper, which will continue in a variety of forms. Ways that newspaper publishers of today will succeed in the transition beyond newspapers in their current form” include transitioning to other channels, providing personalized news-on-paper, and tapping niche markets."
Sounds sane enough. Best advice to newspaper people? Change with the times or move to Argentina, where print newspapers are forecast to exist until until 2039.

Too bad they will extinct because it was a great and more secure source of information than a lot of things similar with it ( internet , TV )

I don't believe that print media is facing it's end. Although, high definition technologies are becoming prominent and are widely used, there could be no other way to best deliver the news and daily updates compared to print media. In fact, there are still individuals who kept on subscribing regular issue of their favorite magazine, newspapers and book series. One of the reasons why print media is still competing in the market, is its complete and unedited content. Count me in on the statistics stating the figures that the most reliable source of information is print media.

I'm so sad to hear this news. I hope there are ways to save the newspaper industry. As years passed by, technology improves and it truly benefits lots of businesses for reaching out to clients, and expanding networks. Even managing clients' concerns are much easier because a certain call center company has improved gadgets for communicating with clients.
