Great post. I agree with you completely being sales people we should bring positive news for our customers even in recession to motivate people spend in valuable things atleast instead of holding their money. I loved the last point in your post:

The stock market:

"As investors have shifted their economic outlook from catastrophic to merely grim, the stock market has shot higher, by 19% on April 1st from its 12-year low on March 9th. Like houses, stocks look cheap." Its a great touch.
