It's always nice to receive awards outside the media sales world. The prestigious 2008 Sales Book Awards were announced today and “Presentations That Change Minds” won the gold medal award for being the best sales book in the “Presentation” category.
The Sales Book Awards are sponsored by Sales Gravy and the entries are reviewed by a panel of 35 judges who score the qualifying books against five criteria.
I'm excited because I worked hard on this book and did not play to the lowest common denominator. Persuasive presentations succeed only as often as the strategies they are based on. I wrote "Presentations" to be the first presentation strategy book by establishing the 14 basic strategies and honoring each with it's own chapter. It was fun to write and I got a chance to use a lot of stories I had been collecting for along time.
