When I was started my first blog I had a secret traffic building weapon: linkinars.
I offered a free training linkinar for my clients. But here is the really great part. Many off the links were blog posts I had done. As the result, the linkinar would drive a stampeded of web traffic all over my blog. In addition, those visitors, were being given a walking tour of my blog and many becoming repeat visitors RSS feed subscribers.
Linkinars are a bloggers best friend!
I now anticipate that I will run linkinars off my blog and design blog entries in anticipation.
Some points to consider as you post blog entries for eventual use in a linkinar:
Use short blog posts with only one idea per post. Not bad advice for bloggers regardless of linkinar use.
Second, include a nice graphic that illustrates the point. If you are using blog posts as "slides" in a linkinar presentation, it's best to have a visual. It adds a lot to the linkinar.
Third, at the bottom of every post include links to your source data. If you consistently do this your blog posts become more than just linkinar illustrations, they become reference points that your visitors will want to come back to revisit.
Finally, anticipate topics that will be useful in creating linkinars, you can assemble them very quickly.
