Are you doing sponsored linkinars off your website and blogs?
If not, you are missing a terrific traffic and revenue building opportunity. Linkinars are the poor cousin of webinars. In essence what they are is a list of links to specific content on
your website and/or blogs that illustrates a talk one of your editors or brand spokesperson can give live on the Internet.
You promote a linkinar in much the same way as you would a webinar except when people gather together they are on a teleconference where they are directed to go to a web page on your site to click though a series of links.
For a one hour linkinar typically between 7-12 links works best. The person directing the
linkinar introduces the call and directs people to open up the first link. Everyone one the call does so. After the some discussion and questions the leader moves to the second link and so on. In essence, the links illustrate the talk very inexpensively. You can still sell advertising sponsorship for a linkinar the same way you would for a webinar but because expenses are so much lower you can sell them cheaper and/or at a higher profit.
What you are really selling is the expertise of your editors or content mavens. You can also archive linkinars on your website by simply posting the links on a page that can be readily accessed along with an audio file, or access to an archived audio file.
You can still collect sales leads by requiring registration to take the linkinar. As you gather the e-mail addresses you simply mail out a page of the links with the call in information clearly shown on the top.
Linkinars have the advantage of immediate turn round, very low cost, almost no preparation time. Basically what you need to have is an expert who has a subject to cover and knows where to find content to talk about at 7-12 locations on your website and blogs or elsewhere on the internet.
